This mini session happened way back in November (I think it was November, that seems ages ago) .  It was a mini session that I shot in Worcester, I also had a maternity session booked that same day right before it.  It made the treck out to Worcester worth it!  We have posted some sneak peeks from our mini sessions in the Fall, but never a full blog post.  I was recently updating our portrait portfolio site and was looking through all of our previous sessions.  I decided that I had to do a full blog post of this one, I just love these photos (and love the family that these photos are of!).

We want to capture you & your families memories and we understand not everyone has the budget to do a full portrait session.  We’ve decided to offer the option of booking a mini session WHENEVER you want!  We typically schedule a full day of mini sessions at a designated location a few times a year.  We’ve had several inquires asking when we were going to do our spring mini sessions, but due to our schedules we have had a hard time finding day where we could schedule a full day of them.

Contact us to book your mini session now!  Weekends in April & May are mostly booked, but weekdays are definitely available.  Mini sessions are 30 minutes long and are shot on location at any location you want within the Greater Lowell Area.  Sessions booked outside of the Greater Lowell Area will incur a small travel fee.  If you aren’t sure where to have your session just ask us, we have lots of ideas for locations.

Sessions are $75, this covers the 30 minute session.  Prints and Products can be purchased a la carte after the session.  Contact us for more information on the products we offer & too book your session today!

Oh how I wish it was early September again!  I met up with the lovely Weaver Family to shoot some family portraits back at the beginning of September.  I’ve shot portraits of them before, but we shot in the winter so we were confined to shooting indoors.  This time we took full advantage of the great weather and headed to the Acton Arboretum.  I hadn’t shot at the Arboretum before but was familiar with it because I use to teach in Acton.  It was a lovely September afternoon and I had a great time hanging out and shooting.  Thanks for such a great time!

So let’s turn the clock back a few days and pretend it’s Wednesday.  I sure would love to do that!  I was browsing through etsy tonight and while searching the wedding sections happened upon the shop Rosebud Lips  by Designer Laura Gibson.  I decided I had to do a feature! The accessories are super cute and have that vintage flair.  I love fabric flowers so her work caught my eye immediately.

In her bridal collection she offers clutches embellished with fabric flowers, garters made of lace and flowers.  She also makes boutonnieres for the guys, accessories for your maids & adorable headbands for your littlest flower girl!

I love this sash, perfect for the bride who wants a pop of color or for your bridesmaids.

Adorable clutch for your girls. Sophisticated but it's also got that unique edge.

She also offers great statement necklaces, adorable headbands for the little ladies in your life.  Take a minute and head on over to the etsy shop Rosebud Lips, even if you aren’t planning your wedding.  I promise if you are a girly girl and love pretty things you’ll find something you’ll like in the shop.

Our niece Kaylee just turned 1 last week.  A couple weeks before her first birthday I headed up to shoot Kaylee’s first birthday and cake smash session.  We were able to hang out in the back yard and shoot these.  Prue and my Dad came up with me and they can both attest to the fact that Kaylee didn’t stop moving for a second.  She was all over the yard, crawling and climbing on everything.  Even with all the craziness I was able to capture some great images of her.  It just kept me on my toes.  After we did some regular portraits we busted out the little birthday cake & Kaylee went right after it.  She had a great time playing and eating it (Prue also enjoyed a little cake after Kaylee was finished).

Happy First Birthday KAYLEE!  We love you :)

This image is from a portrait party I shot last week.  Love this little girl!  I’ve had the chance to photograph her several times (Mom’s a big fan of Mr+Mrs Drew).  She is such a sweetheart.

From this weekends wedding!  CONGRATS Katie+Kevin!!!  We had so much fun, clearly the best wedding party ever :) I hope you are on your way to having an amazing honeymoon, you two deserve it!Awesome Bridal Party Another Portrait Party sneak peek!  This was just from yesterday and this little guy is adorable, right?  I think he should be in the running for being Prue’s BF, no pressure. This is also from yesterday.  Portrait party was in the early afternoon and then we headed up to Hampton Beach NH to shoot Ashley+Derek’s engagement session.   I love this shot Drew captured.  I told him to shut up when he showed it to me on the back of the camera.  We can’t wait for Ashley+Derek’s wedding coming up in August!

Evelyn just turned 1!  Her mom Michelle (who is one half of The Pink Pinwheel, making yummy cakes & cupcakes) went all out with her Circus themed birthday.  It was a fun filled afternoon for the kids, Prue came with me and had a blast playing with the kids. Let’s start with the cutie pie birthday girl.  She looked adorable in her tutu and was all smiles the entire party.

Michelle had so many treats for the kids.  Prue came home with a bag full of candy & fun toys.

Michelle made the cakes & cupcakes.  The cake look like a circus big top and then she made popcorn cupcakes & the clown cake pops.  She even made cupcakes that looked like snow cones.  The kids (and most of the adults) enjoyed trying all the treats.

The face painter was a surprise treat!  She did an amazing job painting all the kids faces.  They were all so excited to have their faces painted & they all looked so cute.  It’s made me consider having a face painter for Prue’s birthday party in September.

Along with the face painting Michelle had a bounce house that the kids loved (makes me also want to get one for Prue’s next birthday!) and lots of other fun games.  Evie wanted to go swimming in the little pool instead of matching the ducks.  I think there were several kids who wanted to go for a swim in the pool.  Prue definitely tried to take a dip.

My sister Mel came with me to the party to help keep an eye on Prue.  She had a blast, running all over the place and playing with all the kids.  I was lucky enough that she stopped for a minute to pose for a photo with me.

The party was a huge success and everyone had so much fun.  We can’t wait for Evie’s 2nd birthday party to see what Michelle comes up with!

Everyone who knows me knows I LOVE ice cream!  Drew not so much, so anytime he suggests we get ice cream I am game.  This past Sunday after we shot an engagement session he said he’d go get us ice cream while I went to pick Prue up at my parent’s house.  Prue was napping when he brought the ice cream home, she was super excited to enjoy her ice cream while hanging out in our back yard.  I didn’t get to stay around, I was heading up to the fundraiser that Backstage Spa & Salon was having for my friend Danielle (more on that later).  I just love these portraits Drew captured of Prue.
