A little more info from her facebook page: “Hello! My name is Kellee and I created Rule42. I’m always making things with my hands, a little something I’ve learned from my mom.

I started making these giant pinwheels with my mom when my sister in law married my brother last summer. She envisioned them and asked if we could make them. They are so beautiful and sensational, I decided to open up my shop and offer them to you. I also sell various fun and pretty things that I just can’t help loving to create.”

She has access to great papers and will work with you to create pinwheels that will compliment your wedding.

She offers large pinwheels for your maids to hold instead of bouquets.

It’s been awhile since I’ve done a Wedding Wednesday Etsy Find.  We’ve been busy in the midst of wedding season as well as portraits and then just living life.  Editing images has taken over my life (as well as making programs for one of our couples).  I had a goal of getting one posted this week and not skipping it and it’s still early enough on Wednesday to check it off.

As some of you might know, I work part time a couple days a week part time at Chantilly Place, a bridal salon in Lowell, MA.  Anyway, we’ve recently had some brides coming in looking for more headband style hair pieces.  We have a few small ones in stock and the catalogs we order from also have a couple styles, but nothing really fun and over the top.  This led me to search etsy to see what I could find.  I came across the shop Bethany Lorelle.  She is based out of Minneapolis-St. Paul area and has been creating head pieces since 2000, in 2008 she expanded to offering her pieces on etsy.  She is quite well known in the Minneapolis area and has her work in several local stores.  If you aren’t in the Minneapolis area, no need to worry etsy has brought her to you!!
Bethany writes: “When creating all my pieces, my aesthetic for bethany lorelle, is inspired by the heroines of Jane Austen (who felt the empowerment of their own inner beauty by adding a simple ribbon), 18th-century France (a time when even a short walk to the market was a reason to accessorize), and the decadent glamour of Old Hollywood (Hepburn). My greatest joy is creating adornments for clients to treasure and pass down for year’s to come.”

GWYNETH - Crystal and Rhinestone Bridal Hair Piece

Head on over to her shop and check out what she has.  She even has some great options for bridesmaids.  You can also view more photos on her website www.bethanylorelle.com & find her on twitter (@bethanylorelle) and on facebook

Each week I do a search of the Wedding category on Etsy to see what new items have been added.  Sometimes I spend lots of time searching through the pages and other times I find something interesting really quickly.  This week it was a matter of minutes.  I was browsing Weddings & then clicked on the sub category of Cake Toppers when I came across the sugar wafer butterflies of Sugar Robot.  What I love so much about this find is you don’t have to use these only for a wedding.  These could be used for a child’s birthday party that is butterfly themed or even a bridal shower.

Here is what Lisa, the owner of Sugar Robot says in her etsy profile:

Behind every sugar robot there’s a sweet chick.
That would be me, Lisa. I live and create out of Ventura, Ca. I’m an aspiring Chemist who has a passion for baked goods. I took my first decorating class over 8 years ago and have been hooked ever since.
“Making the world fun…..one cupcake at a time”

Edible Butterflies - Assorted Pink and Purple - set of 30

I love this assortment of purples & pinks.  So pretty.  Edible Garden Party set of 24 White

I think the white could be really pretty on a cream colored cake, something very monochromatic or even another color, I’m not really loving it with the red, but I love the simplified shapes of these butterflies.

Edible Butterflies - Small Assorted Pink and PurpleEdible Butterflies - Assorted Blue set of 30

The butterflies are gorgeous and not terribly expensive.  They are a lot of bang for the buck for sure!!  Head on over to Sugar Robot and check out these lovely butterflies as well as the other sugar items she has in her shop (leaves, bugs, flowers)

I am trying to show off really great or unique products on etsy.  There are so many great shops on etsy.  This week I am featuring the seller Kate from Kate Said Yes.  She creates lovely wedding accessories using silk flowers.  I am typically not a fan of “fake” flowers, but these arrangements by Kate are lovely and do not look fake (it didn’t hurt that she’s a Boston gal either)  Head on over and check out her creations.

Fuchsia, Ivory and Navy Blue Real Touch Orchid Bouquet

This is the bouquet that caught my eye.  The Orchids definitely don’t look fake,  the colors are beautiful.  I love the fuschia, white and the navy ribbon (Kate can customize the flower color & the ribbon colors).  The cost of this bouquet is $100 without being a florist I think this price is great, plus your flowers aren’t going to die.  Large Yellow Ranunculus Wedding Bridal Bouquet

This yellow ranunculus bouquet is gorgeous too.  I love ranunculus but they aren’t always in season (I wasn’t able to have them for my wedding for this reason) going with fakes means you don’t have to worry about when flowers are in season.

Definitely head on over to Kate’s shop and check out her work.  She also does boutonnieres, corsages & hair pieces.

Sorry about not keeping up with the Wedding Etsy Finds!  It’s been a little hard the past couple weeks, but I was determined to get one posted this week!

Here is a unique find that I found a few days ago on the blog A Beautiful Mess (Elsie Flannigan’s Blog…if you have some time to kill and you love looking at vintage, crafty goodness click on that link!).  She had a custom portrait stamp created for her wedding invitations.  I think it is such a cute idea and it can be used again, you can stamp all your thank you cards with it too!  I read it a few days ago and forgot about it, then when I was searching through etsy’s wedding section today I came across these custom portrait stamps and realized I had to share them.

Kozue does an amazing job on the stamps!  If you check out Elsie’s site you’ll see that the stamp looks just like them.

Here is the stamp Elsie used on her Invitations.

Below are a few images of custom stamps from Kozue’s shop.  This would be a great idea of something to do with your engagement photos.  The stamps are really reasonably priced at $35 for the couple (if you want just a stamp of one person it’s only $30, this would be a cute idea for your children).

You can also check out her blog to see more of her custom stamps as well as other stamps she has made.   I think this needs to be added to my want list of Etsy Finds!! :)

A unique gift for your guy & groomsman?  Find them at Felix Street Studio.

Here’s a bit from her profile: After all those years actually WORKING in various occupations involving numbers, I have finally found my dream job! Right here at home. Etsy provides a wonderful outlet for my obsessive need to be using my hands as well as my head. My passion for sewing has finally met up with an appreciative audience and I thank you for your interest in my bags. They are made one-at-a-time, with great attention to detail, durability, and quality. I am happiest when I am making things. To make things for people who appreciate handmade is just heaven. And I would not, under any circumstance, object if you referred me to everyone you know. Just in case you were wondering. : )

I think brides are more often looking at alternatives to flowers these days.  I did a search for favors on etsy today and found this great option for favors or even centerpieces. Succulent Designs offers these amazing wreaths, but my favorite are the tiny succulents in the containers perfect for favors.  I love how they look all lined up.  They would look great on a long table with a row of these as centerpieces and then every guest would also get to take one home as a favor.  You could fill it in with some lovely white candles or a few larger arrangements of succulents.  I love when things can be used in 2 ways!

A bit about the shop owner: “I have been an avid container gardener for over 35 years, with a particular passion for designing with succulents. Now that I am retired and our children are grown and out of the nest, I’m blessed to be with my husband of 30 years and our beloved dogs on a stunning piece of acreage in the mountain foothills in our great southwest. I grow hundreds of succulent plants, sedum, cacti, and herbs here, and have been designing and creating succulent wreaths for a number of years. It is such a joy to be able to supplement our retirement income with something that brings me joy and fulfullment, and to bring beauty to others as well. Thank you so very much for visiting!
