This mini session happened way back in November (I think it was November, that seems ages ago) .  It was a mini session that I shot in Worcester, I also had a maternity session booked that same day right before it.  It made the treck out to Worcester worth it!  We have posted some sneak peeks from our mini sessions in the Fall, but never a full blog post.  I was recently updating our portrait portfolio site and was looking through all of our previous sessions.  I decided that I had to do a full blog post of this one, I just love these photos (and love the family that these photos are of!).

We want to capture you & your families memories and we understand not everyone has the budget to do a full portrait session.  We’ve decided to offer the option of booking a mini session WHENEVER you want!  We typically schedule a full day of mini sessions at a designated location a few times a year.  We’ve had several inquires asking when we were going to do our spring mini sessions, but due to our schedules we have had a hard time finding day where we could schedule a full day of them.

Contact us to book your mini session now!  Weekends in April & May are mostly booked, but weekdays are definitely available.  Mini sessions are 30 minutes long and are shot on location at any location you want within the Greater Lowell Area.  Sessions booked outside of the Greater Lowell Area will incur a small travel fee.  If you aren’t sure where to have your session just ask us, we have lots of ideas for locations.

Sessions are $75, this covers the 30 minute session.  Prints and Products can be purchased a la carte after the session.  Contact us for more information on the products we offer & too book your session today!

Introducing Silas :) Congrats to Jen & Jason on the birth of their little nugget.  I got to hang out with baby Silas a couple of weeks ago.  This little guy did an awesome job sleeping & it was warm enough when we did he session that we were able to shoot these outside in their yard.  Luckily Jason was able to make it home from work before we were finished and we were able to capture a few photos of the new family.  I love shooting newborns because it gives me a chance to snuggle on tiny little babies.  Luckily the moms don’t usually mind :)
Enjoy your preview Jen & Jason.  The proofs will be posted asap!

Don’t you just want to nibble on those little toes, so tiny & cute!

This one with him trying to suck on his fingers…my fave! This one would make a great large print or standout hung in their home.  Who wouldn’t love to see this photo everyday?  I love how Jen & Jason are looking at Silas, you can see the joy on their faces!

We headed down to Rhode Island for a portrait session on Sunday.  Drew’s parents live in Fall River, MA (which is only a 20 minutes from Providence).  We went to their house first and Drew & Prue hung out with the family while I headed to Warwick RI to meet the newest member of my family (my cousin Michael is Xavier’s Dad).  I was excited to welcome this little nugget to the world and to have the chance to photograph him.  I also took some time to shoot Xavier’s big sister Trinity and some with the entire family.  Trinity was a blast and hammed it up for me, she is a little super model.  Trinity and I played in her room a bit and then spent some time outside, until it started spitting on us a bit.  Xavier was a perfect little model, he didn’t sleep, which is to be expected with a one month old.  If you want sleepy time newborn photos it’s best to do it during the first 2 weeks.  While he didn’t sleep he didn’t really cry and most of the time looked at the camera or towards the window.  At 1 month old he already knows how to find the light! :)

Christina & Michael thanks for letting me capture your adorable little family!

Just last week went to visit my good friends at their home to shoot Cole’s 6 month session.  I can’t believe this little nugget is getting so big!  We had lots of fun and he did a great job sitting up for us.  I think shooting 6 month olds is a new fave of mine.  You don’t have to stress about them sleeping (like with newborn sessions) and they aren’t at the point where they are walking, so you don’t have to chase them around!

We had fun changing his outfit!  I love the little boys in jeans and shirtless, it is timeless and super cute to show off all the rolls!

Sometimes you need to hangout with your bears!  I ransacked Prue’s collection of bears and brought them up.  Some of you will recognize Schlepp (this was a fun idea, but he kept sliding down so it was something we only shot a few images of)

I love his eyes in this image!  Such a sweet look from a sweet little boy :)

I usually keep shooting when babies start crying, it’s good to document all the emotions they have.  (obviously if they are crying because they are nervous because they don’t know me, that is a different story).  I think Cole was mad that he was on his stomach, he doesn’t really like tummy time.

Can you even handle the cuteness of the hat! He loves the driving toy on the right, at one point I was shooting while also holding this toy in my arm so I could make noises to get his attention!  I was pretty proud of my multi-tasking abilities!

A little fun time with mom!

Watching a little Mickey Mouse Clubhouse!

Thanks for being a great model Coley!

Lots of love, hugs & kisses -Auntie Amanda

Sorry for neglecting you blog.  I promise it’s not because I don’t like you :)  It was nice to take a bit of a break during the Holiday Season…the problem is now it’s hard to get back into the swing of things.  This was a session I did for the W family at their home.  It happened right before the Holidays so getting it up on the blog wasn’t a reality.

Baby W was about 4.5 months old during our session, but was a couple months premature so he is still a tiny little guy.   We even braved the cold for a quick shot of baby W bundled up in his snowman outfit.

The goal of this session was to get a family shot for their Christmas card.  We did some individual shots of W but then focused on getting a variety of family shots.

A note to parents who want newborn photos.  The first 2 weeks are the ideal time so if  you want newborn photos make sure you contact us before your due date so we can be ready when your little nugget is born.  We can come to your home for the session or we can use our new studio space.  Contact us for more info and to schedule your newborn session.

Miss Maddie | Children’s Session (Arlington, MA)

I had the pleasure of hanging out with this adorable little girl on Saturday, Maddie was a bundle of energy and I had so much fun chasing her around her house :)  I was squeezing in a session for Chris & Moya (Maddie’s parents) and they were kind enough to let me bring Prue with me.  After Maddie’s session I was heading to Hunt’s to have Prue’s photo taken with Santa (since Drew works there it’s become a tradition that Prue gets her photo with Santa at Hunt’s…it’s also way better then waiting in a ridiculously long line at the mall!)

Anyway, I didn’t have time to do the session and then get to Hunt’s in time without bringing Prue with me.  Luckily Chris & Moya understood and Prue came along for the session.  In the car ride to their house, Prue was telling me she was going to take photos of my friends (she had her toy camera with her).  While Prue played in Maddie’s playroom, I hung out with Maddie :) A few times all the girls wanted to do was play together (a playdate is definitely needed! Dee we think you and Peach should join us too!)

This first image is for sure my favorite from the session.  Love those eyes and the blonde hair!  Drew says she looks like Drew Barrymore from ET!  I say she’s even cuter then that :) I think this one would make a perfect charm necklace or key chain from Kotori

We were able to grab a few shots of the entire family, though it was a little tough.  At this point in the session Maddie just wanted to run around the house!  Mom & Dad had to hold onto her so she wouldn’t run away.

This one definitely shows the 2 sides of Maddie!  Serious & Silly.

Then we did some snuggling with “Big Bear” He was a great prop, I love shooting kids sessions with really timeless toys & stuffed animals.

A few in front & near the Christmas tree.

I gave Maddie a break from “posing” and she just played with her toys for a bit.  I think this is key when shooting children’s sessions.  You can’t expect them to pose for you too much, you need to let them take breaks and play.   I had so much fun shooting this session of Maddie & I look forward to another one in the Spring or Summer.  They took advantage of our BOGO session special! You can still take advantage of the special through the end of the month!

I had the pleasure of photographing the adorable Weaver Family last week.  Because it’s a little chilly here in Massachusetts & their youngest daughter Lily, is under a year old, we decided an indoor session at their home would be best.  They were still getting ready when I arrived which gave me a chance to check out their home and decide where we were going to shoot.  I overhead Tess (the older daughter) saying “the photographer”, when I asked her what she was saying, she told me she was telling her little sister that I was here to take photos of them.  (I told you they were adorable!)  Tess was my buddy & even wanted to give me her birthday balloon from her party a few days earlier.  In the middle of the session, we decided the girls needed to take a break to have a snack.  Tess didn’t want to have snack without me sitting next to her.  So I sat next to Tess and shared some pretzels & cheerios with her.

Tess decided to play and sing to me while we were waiting for Mom & Dad to finish getting ready.  She is just too cute and wasn’t really shy at all!

Mom and Tess did a little singing for us, it was an attempt to calm Tess down a bit.  She was very excited for our session! :)

What mom wouldn’t want a shot like this, just hanging out with her girls.  I love these types of moments.

With 2 young girls getting a shot with everyone looking at the camera is always difficult, while Mom isn’t looking at me, I still love the feel of this photo.

Miss Lily isn’t walking just yet, but she is definitely an expert crawler.  She also had fun pulling herself up on to her toys.  It’ll be a matter of time before she is off walking on her own!

We went upstairs for a bit to shoot in the girls rooms.  This is why I love doing sessions at clients homes.  Tess loved showing me her room and all her toys.

This is Tess’ special Bear…I believe his name is Marmalade.  Can you even handle how cuteness?

Then we went over to Lily’s room, I love how she is nibbling on her crib.

Some special kisses for Mommy.  When Tess helps her Mom put away the dishes they have a special thing they do, Mom will say “merci” each time she hands her a dish.  This is them being fancy…what little girl doesn’t love being fancy.  Tess asked her mom to say merci after each time she gave her a kiss.  I love these little stories.

One last family shot before the session was over.

I had a great time hanging out with the Weaver Family & look forward to more fun shoots in the future with their adorable little girls :)
