We had a fantastic time celebrating with Erica & Bill this past September at Ski Esta all the way up in Newry Maine.  We were able to make a fun family weekend out of it too!  My sister and her boyfriend brought the kids up and watched them while we were at the wedding, the day after the wedding we headed to Storyland.  Prue had so much fun and has already asked when we are going back.  The venue is an amazing house that Erica & Bill rented for the weekend so all the guests were able to stay for the weekend.  It was a weekend filled with love.

One of Erica’s bridesmaid (& sister in law) did an amazing job with her makeup!  She was so attentive and wanted to make sure Erica’s makeup was flawless.

I love these moments of Erica with her mom right before heading outside for the ceremony.  It was when it all really hit her, she was trying so hard not to cry.

The guys had an amazing part of the house to relax and get ready it.  It was on the top floor and had an amazing balcony, as well as some awesome details :)

Bill was able to relax some before the ceremony.  The guys are always so different from the ladies!

Bill with his adorable Best Man (and son).

The ceremony took place outside on this amazing rock formation on the property.  Such a unique setting.

There was lots of laughing during the ceremony, which I love, the couple should enjoy their ceremony.

I love this image of Bill & Erica, such a sweet moment.

Right as we started wedding party portraits the nearby storm started to come through, which meant lots of wind.  We were able to beat it a bit and head down to the giant rock for some portraits.

We then headed to the front of the home for a few quick portraits of just Bill and Erica.

You can’t go wrong with a candy bar.  We enjoyed some treats from it on the way back to the hotel.

Such sweet moments during the first dance.  You can see how much they love each other and how fun.

After some dancing and yummy desserts the evening ended (for us anyway) with Erica & Bill’s friend doing a little show.  I am sure the party went on late into the night for everyone.  I know some guests were taking advantage of the indoor pool!  It was such a chill relaxing day and we were so happy to be a part of it!

Andrea and Jason are one of the sweetest couples you will meet and we had such a blast shooting their wedding.  They live down in North Carolina now, though they met while at school in Vermont.  They ended up booking us without us ever having a chance to meet in person (which can be a little nerve-wracking), but it all turned out perfectly and we had a great time!  During our initial conversations about the wedding, Andrea mentioned she & the bridesmaids would be wearing cowgirl boots!  At that moment I knew it was going to be a fantastic wedding and she was going to be a super sweet and lovely bride.

We started off at the hotel with the ladies while they were getting ready to capture some details and the last minute prep.

Andrea has some super thick hair!  Her bridesmaid and hair stylist Sara was working it out all morning curling all of Andrea’s hair.

After finishing up at the hotel Andrea and the bridesmaids headed over to Flag Hill to finish getting ready.  Andrea put on her super cute short dress at the winery.  I love a short dress, so much fun :)

The guys were ready at the winery and struck a pose for Drew while I was hanging out the girls.  They ended up getting these super hero socks (superman and batman) with caps attached to the back of the socks.  They loved showing off the socks, it was a fun and unique detail.

The ceremony location for Flagg Hill is just gorgeous, love these trees.  I also love the rustic detail of the building.

Finally it was time for the ceremony to start.

I love this moment right before Andrea was walking down the aisle, Jason’s brother Brian put his hand on his back.   You could tell he was a proud brother and so happy to be his best man.

Introducing Andrea & Jason as husband and wife!

We were able to bang out family portraits so quickly that we gave the wedding party some time to just hang out and enjoy a beverage.  After that it was time for us to shoot some portraits.  We started with Andrea & Brian while the wedding party finished their drinks!  I love these images of Jason being so sweet.  Grooms, don’t be afraid to show some emotion and be sweet with your bride, it makes for the best photos.

After some portraits Andrea decided to change into her boots for a few shots!   I just love these images, so much fun.

While the ladies were posing for photos of them all wearing their boots, the guys were in charge of holding flowers and Andrea’s shoes.  They were great sports.

The ladies rocking their boots and looking fierce!  Of course the guys needed to be a part of it and wanted to show off their socks again.

Then we headed into the distillery at the winery for a few fun shots.  It’s such a cool place, we also learned a little about the different types of things wines and spirits they make at the winery.

As place cards and favors each guest received a wine glass that said “I partied with Andrea & Jason on their wedding day”.  Drew and I each had a glass too, and while I wasn’t able to enjoy a glass of wine due to first shooting the wedding and second being pregnant, we made sure we bought a couple bottles of wine to bring home.  I can’t wait to crack open one of the bottles and use the special glass!

Super yummy cupcakes by Black Bunny Bakery!  I always make sure to sample the cake at each wedding!

Finally it was time to get the reception started!

Andrea and Jason had a special choreographed dance for their first dance.  They did a great job and were super cute during it!

All the guests were laughing during the toast given by Andrea’s sister.  She at one pointed started talking about Andrea’s first love.  Of course your expecting her to be talking about a previous boyfriend, but no it was a horse that Andrea rode while growing up.  She even brought a photo of Andrea with the horse.

The groomsmen each received a beer mug as their wedding gift.  Brian was showing his off for us.

After the parent dances it was time to get the partied started.  Being it was Father’s Day, The dj Lori opened the floor and invited all the dad’s to come on out to the floor to dance.  Here is Andrea’s brother in law dancing with her adorable niece.

We stole Andrea and Jason for just 15 minutes right when the sun was setting for a few more portraits.  The light is just so pretty at this time so it’s silly not to take advantage of it.  It’s also a nice chance for the couple to get away and just enjoy being married by themselves for a bit.  I just love this silhouette that Drew captured of them!

Then it was back to dance party time.  Everyone was having a great time on the dance floor showing off their moves.

Not the best image of me, but for being 37 weeks pregnant after shooting a wedding, what do you expect.  Thanks again Andrea & Jason for being such an awesome couple.  We had a great time shooting your wedding and wish you the best.

So my baby brother got married a few weeks ago.  They just got back from their honeymoon in Hawaii & San Francisco.  I figured it was time for their blog post to go up :) Chris and Steph decided to do things their way and instead of having a big elaborate wedding they opted to have a small intimate wedding of their closest friends and family.  They did originally plan to do a bigger wedding with a wedding party and all those other details so when it came down to switching to a smaller wedding without a wedding party I had to remind them that Prue (our daughter) still needed to be the “flower girl” because she would be heartbroken if they took that job from her.

Along with doing a small wedding they also got ready together and we (Chris, Steph, Drew & myself) went out before the ceremony and took photos in Downtown Amherst (they met while at UMASS) and did portraits at some of their favorite places.  We also went over to Sugarloaf Mountain and did some portraits up there.  They invited family & friends to come hang out with us up there before the ceremony.  Okay already enough of me writing (I feel like I could go on & on & on), let me show you some of the photos!!

They both had purple chucks to wear, though Steph did change to heals for the ceremony.

Drew snapped this photo of himself in the mirror.  You’ll see a similar photo I snapped of myself in the mirror…we didn’t know each other did this until after the fact when I was looking through the photos.  Clearly we think a like.

Chris needed help with his tie.  Drew was happy to step in and assist.

I had to include the image of Chris jumping into the frame on the right.  After he did it and I showed him the photo he was even more jazzed that he photo bombed it so well.

I decided I won the battle of the mirror photos because I got both Chris & Steph in my image while Drew just got Steph in his!

After getting ready in Northampton the four of us hopped in the car and headed to downtown Amherst for some portraits.  We unfortunately hit a parade along the way (being that it was Memorial Day Weekend) and that put Chris is a funky mood.  He doesn’t like parades and was mad we were late…in the long run, it didn’t matter and we had plenty of time to shoot.

This was at the restaurant where they had their first date.  The staff were kind enough to let us snap a few images.

I love this next set of images we captured.  It’s right near the location where they had their first kiss.

Bueno Y Sano is another restaurant that they love going to so we stopped by there as well.  Steph made all the flowers in her bouquet from paper.  I think she did a great job!

After finishing up in Downtown Amherst, we headed over to Mount Sugarloaf for some more photos.  They had invited any friends and family who wanted to come hang out there before the ceremony.  Our little lady Prue was the flower girl (remember I told them they couldn’t take that job away from her.  She would have been heartbroken, so while they didn’t have a wedding party, they had a flower girl)

Everyone who made the treck up to the top of the mountain.

It was totally worth the $2 we spent to drive up to the top for this photo right here!!

Our sweet little lady was all about what “Uncle Chris & Auntie Steph” were doing.  She followed us around the entire time we were taking photos.  She was that annoying guest at the wedding :)

Chris and Steph love the show Community.  So when they were trying to come up with a fun prop for photos they decided to be Evil Chris & Evil Steph like the characters Abed & Troy.

After a few more portraits at Mount Sugarloaf we headed over to Magic Wings for the ceremony.  I’ll let you in on a little secret.  I was freaking out about the butterflies.  Drew & I went into the butterfly area before the ceremony to check things out.  I didn’t think I’d be nervous,  but I was totally freaking out that the butterflies were going to fly into me.  Actually it wasn’t a secret at all, everyone knew I was freaking out. Prue wasn’t your typical flower girl.  Her job was to walk in before Chris & Steph holding a basket that had an ipod and was playing the recessional music for Chris & Steph (they walked in together).  Chris & Steph walked into the Beatle’s Helter Skelter :)

To determine who read their vows first they did rock, paper, scissors.  Chris won so Steph went first!

Then we quickly shot family portraits.

Striking a pose with Prue :)

All their friends who came to the wedding!

Next we did a few more portraits inside with the butterflies.  Again, I was freaking out, but doing a little better about them flying into me.

The manager at Magic Wings was able to get the butterfly to stay on Steph’s petticoat for a shot!  I love this image :)

Twin butterflies that Drew happened to capture!

We then headed outside and grabbed a couple more images outside Magic Wings.

Finally it was time to head over to Wiggins Tavern in Northampton for dinner.  It was a casual, they didn’t even want to be announced, but Drew and I didn’t really give them a choice and announced them anyway!

They didn’t do a planned first dance, but instead when the Beatle’s song Oh, Darling came on they got up and danced.

Yummy cupcake time.  I can’t remember the name of the bakery (I’ll need to get the info from them)!

I like this shot of the escort cards because Chris and Steph made sure my card included myself and the little nugget (due hopefully in only a few weeks at the beginning of July!)

We had some sparklers so we attempted to go outside and have everyone light sparklers for a fun photo.  Note for future massive sparkler attempts, matches don’t really work.  Have multiple sets of lighters so everyone can be lit at the same time.

There wasn’t too much dancing after dinner, much to Prue’s disappointment.  We put on a few of Prue’s favorite dance songs so she could dance because that was something she really wanted to do.

It was a fabulous day and we loved being a part of it.  Thanks for letting us capture your wedding, even though we were working we were still able to have fun and enjoy the day as well.  My baby brother isn’t so much of a baby anymore :)

Here is the second part of Mel+Dan’s wedding post (You can view the first part here!).  The reception at the Danversport Yacht Club was a blast (as you’ll see from the photos).  Their family and friends were on the dance floor all night long having a great time.  Mel and Dan also had us set up The FunBooth during the reception so there were lots of funny images captured in the FunBooth all night long.

Thanks again for letting us celebrate your wedding day with you.

Such a unique and personalized cake topper.  I believe Mel made the kettlebells for the cake.

The room looked fabulous.  Kathie, of We Do Weddings did a great job pulling it all together and getting everything set up in a tiny amount of time.

Again the wedding party didn’t disappoint.  They each danced their way into the reception!

After Mel and Dan came out the wedding party and other friends surrounded them on the dancefloor.  So much love and fun!!

The cake was super yummy (they had to go boxes of cake wrapped up for guests).  I was able to enjoy the cake while we uploaded cards to our computer that night!

Then it was time to hit the dance floor hard.  Everyone had a fabulous time dancing all night long.  The floor was barely ever empty!

Mel and Dan were super cute all night long on the dance floor snuggling, laughing and just having a good time.

Here are some of the Best of the FunBooth from their wedding!  Again the guests did not disappoint while hamming it up in the FunBooth!

Mel and Dan got married on a beautiful day this past April at the Danversport Yacht Club in Danvers MA.  You might remember them from their engagement session (which seems like ages ago!).  The day was a super relaxed day that started at the Holiday Inn in Peabody.  Once everyone was ready we headed over to the venue for the ceremony & reception.

Mel and Dan have been together for quite a few years now and have grown up together from students in college to the adults they are ready to continue the rest of their lives together.  The day was filled with love from their family & friends.  Their wedding party and friends had a great time celebrating all night long with Mel & Dan (as you’ll see in the second blog post featuring the reception and The FunBooth we set up).

Thanks to everyone who made the day special.  There were many vendors that helped, I just don’t have all of their info (I’ll get it from Mel and update the blog).  A very special vendor was the wedding planner and officiant, Kathie Nutter, of We Do Weddings.  Kathie is Dan’s Aunt so this wedding definitely had a very special place in her heart and you can see from all the details she attended to throughout the wedding day.

Drew and I had the honor of shooting my cousin Sara’s wedding a few weeks ago down in Maryland.  It was a fun filled family trip down to Maryland.  We made the trek with a van filled with my parent’s, brother and his fiance and our little lady Prue.  Yup, you read that right, we were the crazy family van making our way down to Maryland for the wedding.  It was totally worth it though!  We had a blast hanging out and celebrating with our family, along with being able to do what we love and capturing all their special moments.  Prue loved going to the wedding.  She still talks about “Sara & Eric’s wedding” all the time.  Just the other day we were driving and she told me she thought that was where Sara & Eric got married (clearly living in Massachusetts means we were no where near where they got married).

So this might be a photo heavy post…so what it’s my family and I’ll post lots of photos if I want too!!

Sara got the bridesmaids these super cute clutches.  I wanted to steal one :)

I love this image of Eric right before they left the hotel to head over to the ceremony site.

There was lots of this all night long as you will see.

Sara was such a chill bride.  She didn’t want to Eric to see her before the wedding in her dress, but she was fine with seeing him before the wedding.  This was minutes before the ceremony was scheduled to start.  Just hanging out laughing together.

Sara’s Aunt (on her Mom’s side) did all the flowers.  She did an amazing job with all the bouquets and centerpieces.  They were lovely.

The sun was out right before the ceremony.  We were worried about pending thunder storms all day, luckily while the sun disappeared for the wedding ceremony we were able to get through the ceremony and wedding portraits before it started to drizzle.

I love this angle Drew as able to capture of Sara walking down the aisle.  This is the benefit of having a wedding outdoors you have so much more space and can capture different angles.

Sara had a little trouble getting Eric’s ring on, it made for a cute moment!

You can see the dark clouds starting to creep in on us.  We rallied and got all the portraits done is a tiny amount of time.  I might have been running around like a crazy person but it got done so who cares.

My beautiful cousin Katherine, Sara’s sister showing off some more of the flowers.

The bridesmaids had a fun time hamming it up during photos!

Sara and Eric had one photo they really wanted.  It’s the one below.  They wanted to have Nick, one of the groomsmen photo bomb one of their images.  Nick did a great job nailing his part.

Sara & Eric brewed their own beer for the wedding.  Not being a beer drinker I didn’t try one, but I believe Drew enjoyed a couple of them :)

Sara’s mom, my Aunt Cris, is an avid quilter.  She has kindly made me a high school graduation quilt, a gorgeous wedding quilt, even quilts for Prue.  It was no surprise that she’d be making a wedding quilt for Sara & Eric.  Guests were able to write well wishes for the couple onto fabric which she will then create a quilt with.  Such a unique idea!!

Prue was very excited to have bubbles at the table to play with (thanks Sara).  She was also very proud of her escort card with her name on it :)  This was her first wedding and she had lot’s of fun.

I told you the guys partook in enjoying several shots through out the evening.  Eric was certainly having fun by the end of the night!  During family holidays (when we usually get to see Sara & Eric) he is usually very quiet, I have plans for busting out some shot glasses this year!

Had to throw in this sweet photo of my twin sister and Prue that I snagged of all places…in the ladies room.

A yummy cannoli cake that Sara surprised Eric with.  There was also some other cakes and desserts for the rest of the guests.  Sara tipped me to the cannoli cake so I was able to make sure I snagged a piece of it before it was all gone.

We have a photo of all the girl cousins (minus Prue of course) from my wedding.  Sara wanted to make sure we got that same photo.

Then we decided we might as well allow the boy cousins in a photo as well.

I don’t know what was going on during these photos, I just knew I needed to document it.

Ending the evening with a special MrDrew Photo.  Thanks Sara & Eric for letting us celebrate with you.  We had a blast and it was totally worth the 9 hour drive :)  Love you both lots!

Here is the second half of Megan and Marc’s wedding day, enjoy!  If you missed part one you can find it here!  You can also find their engagement session on our blog if you want more images of Duncan.  Duncan, their dog, wasn’t able to dance the night away with them at their reception, but he was front and center for much of their engagement session.  If you look closely will notice a little Duncan love on their cake topper :)
