The Pink Pinwheel | Vendor Love

We had the pleasure of shooting & sampling the cupcakes by The Pink Pinwheel.   Michelle and I went to high school together and we recently reconnected (love ya facebook!!).  She is starting out on this adventure in baking with her friend and partner Cassie.

They recently had an open house sampling party and invited all their friends to come samples some of the yummy flavor cupcakes.  Unfortunately I was shooting a wedding that day so I was unable to attend.  Michelle saved one of each of the cupcakes so I could shoot some promotional shots for them.  They don’t have a website yet (it is in the works!) but you can find them on facebook!  Make sure to like them to stay updated on the yummy flavors they offer and to be the first to find out when their website goes live.

Enjoy the images, I hope they don’t make you too hungry.

This was a yummy Red Velvet with Cream Cheese Frosting!French Toast with Maple Buttercream Frosting and a little bacon!
Rocky Road Cupcakes with peanuts & marshmallows (super yummy!!)On the left is Oreo with Oreo Buttercream Frosting, on the right Peanut Butter!
Margarita FlavoredI think these were Marshmallow & Fluff cupcakes, but I’m not sure…I can tell you they were DELISH!
Pumpkin with Cream Cheese Frosting (this was my FAVE!) A yummy Margarita in a Margarita Glass.  A little Red Velvet with a MrDrew Mustache :) I’ve wanted to do this shot for awhile.  Next wedding we shoot where they have cupcakes, you know this is happening!  Michelle & Cassie also made lots of mini cupcakes for sampling, which I think is a perfect idea.  That way you could sample all of them, but you didn’t have to eat so many full sized cupcakes.  I think I could do it, if I needed to, but my body would not be happy with me!

The Pink Pinwheel also does special occasion cakes of all kinds (birthdays, weddings, anniversaries).  I would definitely check them out!

Sweet | A delicious treat in Boston (and Cambridge)

This is a post I’ve been meaning to write for quite some time.  Drew & I met up some friends for dinner in Boston during restaurant week back in August (Ohhh, how I wish it was still AUGUST!)  Katie & Kevin had the great idea of asking Drew & I (and our friends Dee & George) to meet up for dinner.  It was such a great idea & we had a fabulous time at The Wine Cellar on Mass Ave.  Drew and I weren’t sure how long it would take us to get into the city (we also dropped Prue off at my parent’s a little earlier then anticipated) so we wound up in the city with some time to kill.  We ended up walking around the area and stumbled upon Sweet (I’m not going to lie, when I was googling directions on my phone I noticed Sweet on the map and kept my eyes peeled for it).

Those of you who know me, know I LOVE (LOVE, LOVE, LOVE) cupcakes so we had to check Sweet out!

I loved everything about the store, the wallpaper, the pale pink couches, the glass cupcake stands.  We only had our small canon point and shoot with us, but I had to nab some shots.  I ordered a pink lemonade cupcake (TO-DIE-FOR) Drew ordered a green tea cupcake (also really yummy!)

I want to order one of each!  It was really hard to choose.  They have a seasonal menu so now I need to go back and try the Fall flavors! They have a pumpkin & a caramel apple that sound lovely.   Very satisfied customers :)

Then we were off to meet our friends at The Wine Cellar to enjoy some yummy cheese & chocolate fondue (as well as some good wine).  I think starting and ending with dessert is a perfect plan & would like to do it more often :)
