Custom designed photo guestbook | Products

One of the benefits of having an engagement session is you have the opportunity to get a photo guestbook.  Instead of a boring guestbook that you might never look at again, this guestbook features images from your engagement session with space around the images for your wedding guests to sign and write notes.  A bonus is you get to show off your great images from the engagement session.  We’ve been offering photo guestbooks but just got a new sample in from WHCC and are excited to show it off.

These books are all custom designed for each couple.  The standard book is a 10×10 with 20 pages, we can always add additional pages if you’d like. The book features hinged pages that lay flat making it easy for your guests to sign the book.  Our sample features an image wrap cover, but you can also have a leather or fabric cover if you prefer.  Another option is adding little questions or prompts to the book.  You can ask your guests for marriage advice, names for your first child, or their favorite memory they have of you.  The possibilities are endless.  I’ve thrown in a few images of Katie & Kevin’s actually guestbook.  They decided to go with a charcoal grey leather cover with silver foiling on the cover.

Here is a few images from Katie & Kevin’s actually guestbook.  The design is very similar on the inside, just a few tweaks here and there.  The major difference is the leather cover with their names on the cover.  Katie wanted a really timeless neutral look for the cover.  I think no matter what, whether you choose the image wrap cover or a leather cover you can’t go wrong.

Wedding Wednesday Etsy Finds: Alona Freeman

Today’s post is definitely a little late in the day, but it isn’t midnight yet!  Prue isn’t at daycare this week so fitting in blogging along with everything else is a little tough.  It might also have to do with the fact that Auntie Mel came over today and we made cookie stuffed cookies.  Yes, you read that right. I said COOKIE STUFFED COOKIES.  Mel made vegan cookies that spread a bit so it was kind of a fail.  I also had a mix for a oatmeal chocolate cookie so we made those as well stuffed with double stuffed oreos.  Below is a photo of the oatmeal cookies that held their shape a bit better.   So sorry that this post is a little late in the day, I am sure you now understand and can forgive me.  (these images were all taken with Hipstamatic, on Auntie Mel’s iphone)

Now that I’ve shared my excuse onto this weeks Etsy Find:  Alona Freeman’s shop

I think this is a great find not only for brides looking for unique & vintage style jewelry, I think lots of ladies I know will love what Alona makes from vintage pieces she finds.  Her jewlery would make a beautiful statement piece for the bride & you could also get some really great necklaces for the bridesmaids as well.

Here is Alona’s bio from her etsy page:

Nicola+Steve Nov. 6 2010 | Wedding (Boxborough Holiday Inn)

Nicola & Steve found us not too many months ago, they had some issues with other photographers not returning calls and basically canceling on them.  They were stressed at the last minute and didn’t want to settle on a photographer.  Luckily we were available.  When Nicola & I met I told her it all happened for a reason so she could find us :)

We had a lovely time hanging out with Nicola, Steve & their family & friends.  They were a very fun & welcoming group to hang out with and everyone had a great time.  You can definitely see the love between Nicola & Steve and the love for them.  They have an adorable little daughter Maya who didn’t always want her photo taken (which is expected for a 2 year old…we should know!)  The ceremony & reception were at the Holiday Inn in Boxborough MA.  If you are having a wedding during the late fall or winter months, I think this location is a great choice.  You can have some “outdoor” atmosphere with all the plants inside the garden center.  It’s definitely a unique venue a short drive from Boston.

Highlights of the night for me, would be Nicola walking down the aisle and Maya hiding behind her.  I didn’t even realize she was hiding behind her until she walked passed me, she was tucked right up against her (as you’ll see in the photos) it was too cute.  The other highlight was the spur of the moment soul train line, it was only for a few minutes, but I was in heaven those few minutes.  I love a good soul train line…I mean who doesn’t love that!?!
