Engaged? Get a cool wedding website!

Our main site is designed through Showit.  They offer a great service where you can create a really great site all by yourself without having to understand all the in’s and out’s of html & flash.  What makes it really great is we can update our site whenever we want.  It took a little work initially to get it all set up, but now I can easily tweak it.  The also offer templates that you can use, but when I created our site, I didn’t use a template (silly me).  If you are looking for great website (remember it’s your first connection with your clients) I suggest checking out showit.  They make it super easy & are constantly coming up with new & cool things.

Anyway, they have offered these +sites for quite sometime, but we hadn’t had a reason to use it before.  After shooting Katie & Kevin’s engagement session I remembered how photographer Stephen Knuth (as well as many others) use +sites to create wedding sites for their clients.  I was able to easily start with a template and then tweak it to create a custom website for Katie & Kevin.

If you book an engagement session with us, you now get a personalized wedding site from us.  I know many wedding planning sites offering web sites to couples.  The problem with those is they aren’t well designed & they can be a pain to setup.  All you need to do is give us the information of how you met & the details for your wedding ceremony & reception.  I’ll put it all together with the amazing photos we take during your engagement session.  The other great thing is after the wedding we’ll update your site with a slideshow of your wedding images.  Showit also offers another great function where you can have your website on your Facebook profile.  All you need to do is have the Showit app installed.

Here is a screen shot of the site…but make sure you go check it out in person.  I am super excited to offer it to our couples!

The Roadman Family | Family Session at the Westward Orchards Harvard MA

We had the pleasure of meeting up with the Roadman Family for a session at the Westward Orchards.  Dee & I used to work together and are good friends.  We’ve been trying to schedule this session for quite some time and finally were able to shoot it.  On a sunny Fall day we met up & headed into the Orchards.  Peach decided that day was not a good day for a nap so she was a little cranky at the end, but overall did fantastic!  Grady was such a ham & actually choose a few of the spots that we decided to shoot at.  I think with a little training Grady would make a great photo assistant for sure!!

Grady is such a good big brother to Peach!  They are too cute together. If Peach is doing it…so should everyone else! Love this photo of the 3 of them walking.  Grady was off scoping out the next location with Drew.
Some love from Peach :) Even though it’s not a “perfectly” posed family shot, I love this one!  It’s a real moment, this shows how much fun they have as a family for sure. We found an apple that was close to the ground so Peach could pick it herself. This is Grady being a model.  In the future if I need a boy model, Grady is going to be the first one I call.  He was so great!
What every Mom wants, some smooches from their growing boy.  LOVE this one!! Once Peach found the apples, that was it.  All she wanted to do was eat them.  She cried & cried every time we tried to take one away from her. AYKM!? love her smirky smile with apple drool! See Peach with the apple!  I told you we couldn’t get it away from her.  We found a little apple so it was less obvious. They are originally from Pennsylvania so we needed to do a quick wardrobe change into some Steeler’s gear. Thank You for letting Drew & I photograph your adorable family.  We love you all so much & look forward to many more shoots in the future.  Here’s a shot Drew got of me in action.  I need to be better about getting shots of Drew in action :)
