I met little Illah last week. She is an adorable little lady who did a great job sleeping during most of her session (She was only 11 days old for our session which is perfect!). We got to play around with a few accessories, some headbands & hats. I love baby girls for that reason, there are so many cute things you can use for a newborn photo session. I still need to add to my props for both girls & boys, but boys especially (hint, hint Mel). I also love sessions that are more lifestyle, and are just capturing the baby and all the special moments, so I want to make sure I do more of that during my newborn sessions. Enjoy the images! (For more info about our portrait sessions just click on the portfolio link below).
So I totally cheated this week and found this on the blog Wedding Chicks (which you should check out if you love looking at photos of weddings). I can’t take credit for finding this shop, but Cheryl (the owner) does amazing work so who really cares. She makes these adorable floral headbands (I see Prue sporting one in the near future!) that are perfect for your little flower girl or just for fun!
This is what Cheryl says about the shop “This is just the beginning and a small portion of the lovely handmade goods that are to come. I will be offering custom, handmade shoe-clips, hair accessories, lapel pins, corsages, bridal hairpieces and more. All pieces are made to order. Please allow 6-8 days for completion. If you need something in a hurry, I can add a “rush order” for a small fee. If you don’t see a certain color combination to suit you, please let me know.”
Definitely head on over to Linden Lovebirds etsy shop and check out the headbands along with all the other great things she offers. I can’t wait to see what else she is going to add to the shop!
Today’s post is definitely a little late in the day, but it isn’t midnight yet! Prue isn’t at daycare this week so fitting in blogging along with everything else is a little tough. It might also have to do with the fact that Auntie Mel came over today and we made cookie stuffed cookies. Yes, you read that right. I said COOKIE STUFFED COOKIES. Mel made vegan cookies that spread a bit so it was kind of a fail. I also had a mix for a oatmeal chocolate cookie so we made those as well stuffed with double stuffed oreos. Below is a photo of the oatmeal cookies that held their shape a bit better. So sorry that this post is a little late in the day, I am sure you now understand and can forgive me. (these images were all taken with Hipstamatic, on Auntie Mel’s iphone)
Now that I’ve shared my excuse onto this weeks Etsy Find: Alona Freeman’s shop
I think this is a great find not only for brides looking for unique & vintage style jewelry, I think lots of ladies I know will love what Alona makes from vintage pieces she finds.
